Acrylic, palette knife and brush on deep gallery canvas, professionally box framed in Australian Raw Oak Painted August 2002 at my daughters home in Melbourne.
This isĀ a powder blue, lemon yellow pure Bunch of Sunshine. Inspired by a little pot of dried florals gifted to my daughter on building her Hamptons / BOHO, style home.
You have to see the painting to really get how textured it is.
Zoom in for a close up of the tiny sunny daisies, protea flower pods, nestled in amongst them and the bunch of sunshine complete with Billy Buttons, palm leaves, with fragile oat seeds and fern fronds spilling out. It really is synonymous with my ‘full cup’ feels. This Bunch of Sunshine is sitting daintily on a heavy rustic terracotta tiled bench, against a wall of cool rendered blue background in a dreamy ,creamy aged terracotta pot.
