A loose watercolour, painted just after moving into the cabin here on my patch of paradise in Nimbin,. Depicting two new ‘acquaintances’, dining out at an intimate cafe.
The colours intuitively mixed on the paper, painting from top to bottom. A a technique that can bring about a very pleasing natural colour range and expressive piece. In this one I see it giving off a lovely vintage appeal.
Are they in France, are they eating my ‘French Radish’ or possibly in Italy? Either way I may have seen that ” Flower Box; before.
Were they celebrating a birthday or an impressive first date, anniversary? There is romance in the air wherever you are, in the fragrance of the flowers and colours of their blooms.
Archival to last a lifetime or longer.
