Painted Jan 2022, during my mothers palliation at her home in Dunbogan.
On a still day, amongst the quiet turbulence of a mother leaving me, the shadows and reflections of her life were being visited and this painting was created.
The scene bears notes of the vivid colours and peaceful lake sunsets of Tasmania I witnessed on my visit there.
Painted in an expressive wet on wet, free flowing, loose watercolour style, allowing the paint to mix on the paper, a very serene and satisfying painting to make.
